SUS Executive

SUS ExecutiveThe Executive Council is the overall governing body of Scottish Universities Sport, steering the affairs and setting the strategic policy of the organisation. Other responsibilities of the group include financial management, annual planning, and lobbying, advocacy and promotion for the sector. The Executive operates in an outward-facing and inclusive manner, seeking to engage with key partners and other interested parties.

Over the past two years, the Executive has led the way for the association through the groundwork of setting up the organisation. An ambitious operating budget has been approved and partnership contributions agreed. Internal administration processes have been agreed, staff employed and a fully functional office base created at The University of Edinburgh. Additionally, a new and exciting brand has been created to publicise SUS as a sector and as an organisation. Further, the seeds have been sown for important partnership work in the future.

The Executive will retain its openness and engage with further key partners across Scotland's sporting landscape. It will act as the face of the sector, aiming to attract and encourage more cohesive links with other sporting bodies in Scotland. The Executive will also have the challenge of helping emerging sporting institutions to improve their game.
