BBC Radio Scotland
Scottish College's Sport to appear on BBS Radio Scotland's Sports Weekly Program. Scottish Colleges Sport development Officer Jenni Lloyd will be on BBC Radio Scotland's Sports Weekly Program on Saturday March 20th from 0902-1000.
Hosts John Beattie and Katie Still preview the sporting week and Jenni will be there to discuss the emerging Scottish Colleges Sport and promote the Scottish Colleges Sport National Finals taking place at Scotstoun LC on March 26th.

Jon Best and Lawrie Randak of the appropriately named, Best and Randak consultants are midway through their research into how Scottish Colleges fits into the wider picture of SUS and of Scottish sport. At the end of the consultancy they will Their report will be completed by March 2010 and we look forward to having the results for you then.
National Finals
Scottish Colleges Sport is hosting A National College Multi-sport Finals on March 26th 2010 at the Scotstoun Leisure Centre in Glasgow.
The winners of our regional events have qualified to compete in our National Finals and we are expecting 350 athletes, 50 volunteers and 25 VIP delegates from across Scotland.
The College Finals are the premier event for the College Sport season and I will be promoting it on BBC Radio Scotland on March 20th at 9.00am so please tune in!
Spectators are always welcome so if you are interested in seeing some of the best
Sector-Wide Research Project – College Sports Audit
An audit on the Sports Provision in Scotland’s Colleges was sent out to all 43 colleges across the country. The audit covers areas such as; staffing, facilities, club activity, sport planning, coach education academic and/or vocational sport and exercise programmes.
25 Colleges completed and returned the Questionnaire and the results are in!

College Sporting Success so far…
We have had some excellent sporting success so far this year. Colleges have declared interest in entering SUS events for both swimming and golf.
Telford did the double as both men’s and women’s teams fought hard to triumph at the East Regional College Basketball Tournament, held at Edinburgh University CS on Feb 8th 2010. IN the West Glasgow Nautical won a very tough men’s pool as the emerged to be crowed West Regional College Champions
Memberships
I am very please to announce that we have now engaged with over 30 colleges across Scotland!
Wednesday afternoons
After College discussions at the Christmas seminar in became clear that it is very difficult for colleges to run any type of organized sport without and allotted time. I am currently trying to take forward the issue of ‘Wednesday afternoons’ to the powers that be to try and create some movement on this issue.
Marketing
Hope to focus on marketing for the rest of the season to ensure that people know about the good work that we are doing. I hope to spread the good word about Scottish Colleges Sport.
